New York in September would be £685, which sounds like a bargain to me.

Is 5 days in the Bahamas long enough to do it justice?

Sounds like a good deal. I haven't been to Bahamas but I think you can

do most places in 5 days. then go back to finish the job. As you might not like it/or love it.

Have you been to New York before? I assume you have.

I was there in about 1980, so my advice might be a little out of date.

I hated it, it was full of Americans and American culture. 'Culture', perhaps. Anyway, you may as well go to Florida. Or do something more pleasurable than going to Florida, like extracting your own toe nails with pliers.

September is peak hurricane season for the Bahamas, but it seems that this still only

equates to a small risk, statisticalistically speaking.

Yep, been to NY twice but am desperate to go back.

New York in September Rub chin could pose it's own risks. I can't wait to go back to New York

bloody loved it. I think I liked it more after I left.

Coney Island was like a Ghost town. Out of season and smashed up by Hurricane Sandy.

My impression of Florida is drunk teenagers dancing about on the beach or on boats

    whilst MTV film it.

and girls are busy having tequila poured on them for people to take a shot off of them.

Then it all ends in tears when Piranha's come and eat everybody.

Well it's sort of Caribbean, so there are palm trees and beaches and that.

And McDonalds and Burger Kings and hordes of people off cruise ships and all that sort of stuff :shudder:

    'How Sweet it is'

I can't say the same for Harlem though. I felt a bit nervous there.
