Even if you do accept Wenger's interpretation of trophies and priorities

he has failed to deliver on either of his top two for 8 years running. Does he still feel he needs more time to do so? Does anyone else?

The only teams who have ever finished above us are those who have spent considerably more than us

If you accept that we are operating under some financial constraints, then exactly whose blueprint do you want us to copy?

He even got us to the final of the Champions League, where we played the best team in the world and were in with a chance of winning despite having only 10 men.

We would basically be Spurs, changing our manager every year.

I believe United went 27 years without a trophy, it happens

    Hartlepool United?

Different era now though. Fans pay lots of money to see success and when they

pay as much as you lot do and there's no progress they start moaning. Bit like scousers. Can you imagine paying the increased regularly prices for the next 19 years and seeing no trophy.

Those fans who see the prices generally see their team win Shrug

I think that is a big part of the problem, "fans pay a lot for success"

They don't at all. They pay the club peanuts (35 quid a game) for a day out on the lash with their mates, knowing their wives can't complain about it because they're at the football and it's their hobby.

Tickets are underpriced because we have a huge waiting list, and there are thousands of overseas fans paying ticket agencies hundreds of quid for match tickets for low category games

    As a season ticket holder

my seat has gone up twice since we left Highbury (and less than £100 in total), and it was static there for the last 2 seasons.

If silver/red members go to every game they will pay about the same as last season (depends on how the FA Cup/European games are split after January), if they cherry pick the Class A games they will pay more than they did last year.

They don't pay a lot of money to see success. They pay the money to see a football match.

Yes, it's more expensive that we'd like but the way people go on about it anyone would think that Arsenal charge twice as much as everyone else.
