Does no one bother attending Carling Cup matches anymore?

Well no one apart from the 50k plus who turned up last night of course. But there's tons of posts on here about trying to catch the goals on tv, it's only 10 or 20 quid to get in the ground

£25 quid (inc travel) is a lot of money to see a reserve game

Some people wouldn't pay that to go to a play, comedy show, or gig, so why woudl they pay it to watch a profoundly unimportant, second-rate game of football?

Many of those who did attend seemed to struggle with the concept of actually sitting in the correct

    seat.

Me: "Sorry, these are our seats, you'll have to move"
Them: "but someone else is sitting in our seats"
    Me: "That's your problem"
Them: "There's no need to be like that about it"
Me: "Yeah, well I'm not the one sitting in your seat"

This scenario seemed to be repeated all over the block for the first 15 minutes of the game.

More like upwards of 50 pounds is too much to see a first team match

58000 is a huge crowd just look at Tottenhams attendance in their game

against a decent Lazio team, 25000 or something. I think that answers your question.

Has it occured to you said people don't live in London or even England?

  9. #9

Second-rate perhaps but not entirely unimportant in terms of giving squad and youth players

    a game.

Also those further afield may have had problems with the weather
