Thread: oh...the irony...

    oh...the irony...

killed my phone Sunday and replaced it Monday...unfortunately I lost my contacts list.

Sent an email to my team at work asking them to text me JUST THEIR NAME.

Most people have done this except one guy on my team who I always have to repeatedly ask to do any task...he just texted me "hi boss".

So I pick up his text whilst im in the park this morning with the wife and kids and text him back "who is this?"...then my phone rings, which I answer but whoever it is cant hear me...and I know straightaway which dimlo it is...it's this guy and he thinks he is texting me but in fact he has rung me.

So I hang up and then say to my wife "you wouldn't believe how incompetent this guy is"...then I notice the little green telephone symbol at the top of my screen and realise I haven't actually finished the call.

1 minute later he calls me back "hi, it's me...I heard you telling someone how incompetent I am"

I am mortally embarrassed...think about lying but fess up and have to apologise.

I'm not going to be able to look him in the face next time I see him.

Look him in the eye with the full knowledge he knows how incompetent you think he is

    It's his problem, not yours

Unless i'm missing the obvious, isn't this easy to get out of?

Just tell him that you saved his number under another one of your colleagues's name, because the message only read "Hi boss"

in fairness ...he would only know that if he heard me say...

    "he's a total f**king retard I wouldn't entrust with sitting down properly"

Your only option is to kill him. Problem solved.

There you go, he got of lightly. Plus he might buck his game up

But then he is up on a murder charge

which is a stickier situation than his current one. I would just tell him what a doofus he is and not to look at or speak to me again under any circumstances. In fact I would sack him

hehe Hahaha Man up and apologize

Not sure you're allowed to say that sort of thing. Hurt feelings, human rights lawyers, employment

tribunals, and HR staff all over it.

The voice of reason as always f.
