I think what made the IOC disqualify them was that these coupled played eachother so the matches became a farse. One team not giving a toss and losing happens all the time - hell, Arsenal have done it several times when we've already been through as winners of our CL group. But losing on purpose in order to get a preferred semi final opponent apparently is not kosher.
you're not trying your best, which again means that you're influencing on which other team will go through, in a negative way.
Is that you modd?
Bit unfair on the later teams imo, as the Chinamen started it..
