When you don't have the fans behind you {and when you don't even have the advantage of knowing the pitch as happened when we played in Athens} then it's a joke that away goals count double.
But why should Sperz get their games switched so they can sit at home before the NLD?
Ironically because we won the Cup so have priority when ties clash. Always said away goals were a joke but the last round was spectacular in its stupidity.Quote:

Away goals did make a difference back in the day, when it was 2 pts for a win and most teams looked for a draw away and a win at home. But all it means now is that the home team tried to keep it tight in the first leg.
They should deffo stop the rule for one season, and if it doesn't make the games boring {I don't think it will} then sack it for good.
Agree about the away goals but in terms of home and away legs the rules are laid out before the season. I think if you win the toss in this case you bat second (have home leg last) anyway. Can't take other competitions into accountQuote:
