The big elephant in the room is that despite spending £50m on White. This season he has not be better than 33 year old David luiz from last season. I don't mean to **** on him. He's been alright, decent even, but we paid waaaaaaaaaay over the odds for him. The big problem Arteta will have in the summer is that Saliba will be in his last 2 years of his contract. Is he better than White? Don't know but either way if he's not assured a starting place we'll have no choice but to sell him on.
Same situation with Pepe. I don't think anybody cares about that project anymore mind. See if we can get £30m for him and gamble on someone else.

Our defence has not been better than last season even allowing for the recent injuries. we've conceded 39 thus far. The same ammount as the entire last season.

Ben White has pace to run with most forwards, and he's great on the ball. This makes it so that we can play a high line, press higher and attack with more variety and confidence which we've seen this season.
He's a great signing that will only get better. We should look more solid with Tomiyasu hopefully back fit in the starting eleven from next weekend and onwards. Recently we've suffered from having our best fullbacks injured, the only two that can defend well (unlike Cedric & Tavares).
