Ryan made a fool of himself

and actually benefited Obama's cause.

All the peanut throwers and assorted other GOP supporters were already certain to blindly vote for Romney/Ryan, regardless of Ryan's lies.

The independent voters clearly had a dim view of Ryans falsehoods.
