He's a cvnt, definitely a cvnt, alright.
What Dermots overlooking if the almost vindictive way this idiot refs Arsenal games in particular and his appalling lack of consistency. It?s just one more example of signalling out a specific club.
There?s a huge disparity in the way this clown dishes out reds to other clubs
Tide is definitely turning now, as more and more people start to inform us that it is in fact a horrific tackle and a nailed on red.
Jamie Redknapp had the nerve to sit there yesterday banging on about how Michael Oliver is the best referee in the world by a mile. Does he really think there is a football fan anywhere in the country who believes that? ****ing donut.
What is really interesting is our respective records in the domestic and european games. For some reason, once we escape PGMOL we seem to turn into angels. 1 red cards in 41 games under Arteta in europe. 19 in 195 games domestically.
I do love the way ex players are still describing as 'ludicrous' the idea that a referee can have an issue with a particular club. Even after the Coote incident.
I don't really have much to choose between them. They are largely incompetent arseholes. Oliver is the worst for us but that seems to be a particular issue that he has.
I know I keep banging on about it but we have largely brought this on ourselves. OVer the last 2 or 3 years we have slowly made ourselves the most despised team in the country by a good distance. It is nonsensical to think that this doesn't impact on referees. They are human, even if they don't appear to be.
If you want to stamp your authority on a game, or raise your quote of yellows for delaying restarts/time wasting/ tactical fouls then we are the best target. Book or red card an Arsenal player and most of the country will laugh, most will defend it. Even an outrageous decision like this one has around 30% of people believing it was correct and that number is rising.
Watch how City interact with referees. Constant charm offensive. They get refs onside by being pally, and then turn on them to call in a favour when it is needed. I think that explains why they get the benefit of the marginal calls.
