What a ****
Slagged of Wenger for not being a football fan and just getting lucky.

Obviously there is plenty to that article but the bit I will pick up on is that he inherited a 22 year old Dennis Bergkamp. I'm pretty sure Dennis was 26 when we signed him and 27 when Wenger inherited him. Do these people not Fact Check before they make statements?
There is one unarguable point in there- Ferguson is the greater legend. The rest is just bitterness and resentment from a thuggish player who became a **** manager and an even worse pundit.
Wrighty lasted 18 months under Wenger and hardly played for the last 6 of those. The back five were ageing and Wenger's methods prolonged their careers. His first great side was built on two outstanding Dutch players not jut the French and was a huge knowledge of French football really required to sign world cup winning Henry and Euro winning Robert Pires?
Sounness is, and always will be, an absolute ****house, most famed for a disgusting tackle.
Wretched, dreary, dismal old ****, of course (Souness, I mean), but you can see where he's coming from. I'm certain Wenger, Himself, would be appalled if anyone thought he was a "football man" according to GS' understanding and use of the term. British, bungs, boot rooms, betting and beer; AW wanted absolutely none of all that.
I was surprised that AW credited the advent of the Premier League with prolonging our older players' careers. It was the massive jump in wages that really helped persuade them that it was worthwhile to try to adapt their ways and remain at the top level with us, rather than float down the leagues as was customary.
No, but would Bobby have chosen us over RM {the day after winning Euro 2000, we watched it live during the TdF coverage on Canal+ in St Martin} if it hadn't been for AW, Paddy and Titi being here?
Hopefully Big Willy will be the same. Tell Los Francos to eff off cos he's a Gooner through and through.
No, he wouldn't have chosen us had it not been for Wenger. I think Pires has effectively said that before. But players wanting to play specifically for YOU is not luck. And it wasn't because he was French.
Kolo Toure, Edu, Van Persie, Silvinho, Igors Stepanovs..... it is fair to say Wenger's knowledge ran beyond French football.
Lol.
I agree it was playing for AW, but that AW team had PV4 and Titi who only AW would have got to come to the PL at that time. And that can't have hurt.
I remember watching the interview when they cut away from the push-bike racing.
C+ journo: "You could have chosen RM as well as Arsenal. Why did you turn down RM?
RP7 {smiling}: "Just think this is the best move."
Knew he was gonna be a ledge {the fact that he'd single-handedly made the winner for a 1-0 down, 2-1 up final victory the day before that had made all my French mates very happy also helped given the glw and I had flown out to the French Carib to watch the game on telly with them.}
Skiltord got the stoppage time equalizer, didn't he? Had a decent shot when he wanted, that lad.
Basically, his peak years were ruined by Dennis not ageing quick enough for him to partner Titi. Maybe his agent got DB10's age mixed up like the moody Scouse Jock did?
