I have to go to Gatwick on Friday Morning but can't decide if I should.

I need to get there about 6:40/7am

A) get a cab
B) Leave early take my car and park at the airport then when i get back I can drive back.
C) take a series of trains and use the tube. Though is probably the easiest.

The M25 is a doddle on Friday morning and a nightmare on Friday afternoon. Don't ask me why, that's just how it is.

Anyway, if you leave at 5 you'll be fine.

I am liking the idea of driving back when you get back but it depends on when you get back

Can you not book a hotel at Gatwick and pay for valet parking? It gets you another couple of hours' kip. If not, Sir C's suggestion is best.

Only problem with Valet parking is if you return when it is dark, seeing the scratches and dents isn't so easy

When I get off a flight or leave a hotel or restaurant I'm usually far too pissed to take any notice of the car. As long as the bloke helps me get the keys into the ignition, all is golden.
