He's definitely a top level player and one of the best in his position. I'm sure they can come to some sort of agreement. Arsenal offered 180k apparently. Meet somewhere in the middle, he's worth it.

Of course, you can’t actually pay somebody £250,000 per week.

You give him a big whack of a lump sum to work out the difference and then pay him £200,000 or whatever.
