Stratford upon Avon is getting like the worst place for lunch in UK. Shakespeare would not approve.
Bit boring there really. Once you've seen the few sites there is not much left to do
I once had dinner in the actual RSC, which was OK. Rolls-Royce were paying. The hotel was nice as
well. I forget what its name was.
Unfortunately, I was surrounded by motoring journalists, who are - to a man - c**ts. :-(
I only come here because little the RSC does nowadays goes to London. Theatre food is good and there
is one decent Indian but most places closed at lunchtime! Had to stoop to Cafe Rouge!!!
Shakespeare Hotel is the best for a first visit, Falcon a good alternative at half the price.
I think I was put off the place by the peculiar B&B I stayed in.
On arrival the owner was too nice.
Taking his time to show how everything worked. From the TV to the Shower. Ok yes thank you.
Upon leaving he was a right c**t.
There are plenty of cheap hotels, no need to bother with guest-houses here.

Yes. Just opposite the theatre. Used to be a Thistle hotel (dread chain!) but it's something else
now. Stayed there once, not bad.
Yes. Nice rooms, but a tiny bar.
Wonderful places for lunch there, but they would not let you in of course
In addition there are superb places for lunch within 20 minutes too. Best place is 10 minutes away but you are not getting in my gaff
