decent reason as to why?
The quality of football played is also a bit gash... :pardonthepun:
:cooper:
or sub-plots. Or at least if there are some, most of us don't know about them.
As a non watcher of women's football, I know none of the players, none of their back-stories, none of the previous results. I have absolutely no context beyond the game itself.
The fact is, the standard is higher than that of - say - an under 16s bloke's match, but we could probably summon some interest in an Arsenal Under 16s match if we knew that a few potential starts of the future were playing.
In fairness, Australia Japan wasnt exactly the spectacle we'd all been waiting for but Canada England was a decent game.
That said, it's also rubbish. They should play on smaller pitches imo.
Which, of course, rather defeats the object of the whole thing http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif
also an issue for me. Australia, the USA, Canada and Japan have no business in the latter stages of an international football tournament.
Also, were you really watching it? Or were you popping in and out while doing something else?
Seemed to reinforce my prejudices - decent technically but utterly shambolic at the back and in goal.
They all care about it more than the UK does.
I was totally zoned out of the Australia Japan game after about 20 minutes but I watched pretty much all of the england game, certainly more than I have of an england men's game in a long time.
This is my reading of what you have just said.
Titfers, I think they were gender insensitively called
I think the term was a beurette
It's just incongruous and wrong. I could no more knock one out to a woman's football game than I could to West Ham vs Palace.
Besides, they're all hounds.
The point is, nobody actually watches football for that. If anything, it's to get away from a' that.
Unless Olivier is playing, of course.
for sex, I suppose, because my chaperoning hounds are so pretty. They seem to understand that they've no chance :-(
Obviously, without the hounds, you would have to wield the ****ty stick with abandon.
In fact that France Germany game was quite a good one imo (footballistically). Didn't think Australia Japan was that poor a show either. Of course by the time England were on there was proper football to watch - how **** are Brazil :hehe:
for some of them :****er:
