Things I learned at the weekend.
The Dollis Brook valley running south for miles through park and woodland from Barnet is a fine stroll.
The Mill Hill viaduct over said valley is quite something – tube trains 60 foot up in the air.
The Art Deco Zoroastrian temple thingy (ex Cinema) on Rayner’s Lane is geat eye-candy after walking through miles of metroland.
The Ealing Common area seems quite pleasant.
There’s a Wimpy bar in Ruislip.
Hugh Middleton’s 17th century New River to bring fresh water to London starts near Berni’s new gaff in and around Where.
-
I saw a Wimpy in Southgate.
But I think it might be empty inside :-(
-
Big Bender?
-
Man Utd are a long ball team.
-
You left out the bit about Harry Kane whipping our sorry arses and becoming anointed
as the pundits new darling..
-
Oh, I know it does. It's basically a man-made tributary of the River Lee/Lea.
I used to go running beside it, in fact.
Interesting little museum in Ware, actually. Obviously a lot of stuff about The Great Bed of Ware, including pictures of Lucy Worsley lying on it  but also good stuff on the Bluecoat school and all sorts. Well worth a visit.
-
all sounds like a good sex attackers day out imo...suprise anyone nice ?
-
This is tradition with Tottenham. I don't hear Andros Townend mentioned much these days.
-
There used to be Wimpey along the seafront near me. It's now a Big Kahuna Burger
Complete with Tasy Beverages and Royale with Cheese.
-
indeed England should build the whole team around him I understand..around a player who doesent play
for england yet .. :homer: f**king muppet journos
-
i havent been to my local one for many months..i must get a 1/4 n cheese soon
-
Didn't realise he has 22 goals this season. Not bad.
-
That I'm in love with Felicity Jones.
-
I've got a brilliant story about calling Thames Radar to report at VRP Waltham Abbey.
Instead of saying Waltham Abbey I said White Waltham!
How we chuckled at that, I can tell you.
Crazy days, a.
-
I saw her being interviewed recently.
She is as thick as pig****.
-
It was a quote from Danny Murphy on Match of the Day
the most widely watched football programme in the country hence was reported widely
You really had a bad weekend, didn't you s
-
I remember her as Emma in The Archers. The new Emma in The Archers isn't as good imo.
Can't believe that Roy Tucker and Elizabeth Pargeter got it on, though. She must be old enough to be his mum! And what would poor, dead Nigel say? :shakehead:
-
Re: It was a quote from Danny Murphy on Match of the Day
-
Big up Sir Hugh, bit of a hero of mine
-
I haven't heard The Archers in years, because one day I realised, it's shite.
-
But surely, having accepted a knighthood, he was a monarchist lickspittle?
-
Yeah, I think most of them are in europe against Malta's third best team
-
She went to Wadham and looks like this:
She is quite obviously perfect.
I even dreamt of her last night, post Baftas.

I'll go years without listening to it, then I'll hear one or two episodes and know exactly what's
going on. It's quite bizarre. It's also the most snobbish and reactionary thing on the BBC. All the working class characters are either wronguns or comical and to be laughed at and patronised by the middle-class characters. It's very odd.
I do like it when they start discussing farming issues, though. It's automated milking parlours at the moment. Going off alarming about that, they are.
-
i had a great wkend tbh..i thought wales would lose then as soon as Leigh missed kick I saw the
welsh faces and knew they were going to lose..but i had a good eve then Sat I assumed the whites would once again beat the reds so I did not watch it and lovely day in oxford , I didnt watch MOTD or any football or in fact any sport the rest of the weekend..and feel much better for it tbh
-
Of course, it's a bit of a black mark against him
But he's a self made man, a welsh no less, who went on to make things so good they were in use today.
See also Joseph Bazalguette, you can't knock that sort of big infrastructure stuff. These guys were literally revolutionaries.
-
I like this set of backs. I'd probably only consider getting rid of May and possibly Burrell
for someone, maybe a kicking centre (not 12trees, someone like Henry Slade maybe?) or Tuilagi. George Ford was brilliant.
-
Thank god someone said it.
Also, the working class characters are played by only the hammiest RADAtards, replete with accents roughly as good as Dick van Dyke's
-
shame England lost though
-
Joseph was your best player imo very good
-
Yeah - I had a surprisingly good Saturday despite the result
Wales looked a little bit lost in the second half - maybe should have save some of the fireworks for the game rather than that farce beforehand
-

I don't really know how they get away with it on the super right-on BBC.
The portrayal of the Grundys is so insulting as to make even me consider a lighted torch and pitchfork visit to Pebble Mill.
-
All three of the players from Bath played very well. Really impressed with the Watson kid.
-
I saw the Lucy Worsley prog about the royal bedchamber.
She was getting quite excited.
-
Vitamin Research Products?
Verona Pharma Plc?
You've whooshed me there, I'm afraid. Is it something to do with aeroplanes?
-
I did a couple of lines.
On foot. Northern from Barnet to Archway on Saturday and Picadilly from Uxbridge to Acton Town on Sunday.
-
I'm terrified the White Walthams are coming, personally
-

Visual Reporting Point.
Ware is a VRp, funnily enough.
-
do you need a hug ? this all sounds a bit sad ..im thinking of you Ash
depression is no joke imo
