We need to talk about young Jack
This was his best game for the best part of a season, there were flashes of the old impetuous Jack. The way he won, carried and distributed the ball were fantastic and those little slips, oh my the slips.
One thing remains though, we're down to ten men with minutes left and all we need to do is keep the ball sensibly, recycle it and give ourselves a break from the frenetic nature of the proceeding 20 minutes. Many of our players are booked and many others on the verge of cramping up. Why the f**k is he trying to push forward, take players on and make players run for the ball?
Play it to feet and don't give the f**king ball back!
To go a bit Ray Wilkins here he really does need to stay on his feet
I was quite surprised that after his silly tackle, Flamini actually had the wits to behave himself. Almost as if he cut out the bull**** hardman stuff and remembered he is quite a decent player
Bollocks to your bollocks, he nearly lost us the game
I love the boy but someone really needs to beat some brains into him, he's been away with those mongy england lads and they've brought his IQ down even further.
Balls. We were absolutely c**ted in the final stages and our efforts to escape Besiktas' pressu
inevitably resulted in some mislaid passes, most of which were in relatively non threatening areas.
The alternative was to camp out on the edge of our box and hoof everything clear for 15 minutes.
Jack did absolutely nothing wrong and the team did fantastically to see out those very difficult last 15 given their obvious knackerdness.
What *are* you talking about? He wasn't even booked. was he?!
Could have been sent off for a couple of tackles in the first half
particularly the one on Ba - fortunately after they changed refs at half-time he calmed down a leetle bit
Sure, he rides the line with his tackling occasionally, but if there was an endemic problem it would
have manifest in his disciplinary record, which is far from terrible.
And as he matures, it's likely to only get better
You are spot on but the main issue has been resolved
Many fans were questioning if Jack was good enough and some even suggested that he should be sold / loaned out which is ridiculous.
Last night he has reminded those fans how good he is so that is great, however, I agree he has to be a lot more careful with his tackles as we could end up paying a high price.
I am sure that part of the game will improve once Jack stops trying to prove how good he is to everyone, his confidence will return and consequently his overall play will improve
He's got fingers like pork sausages.
All I am saying is that he looks like a man who has taken advice from Paul Scholes
but in essence I agree with you
And anyway, my issue is with Jorge's assertion that he was reckless in possession
I know it was - I can see his point about the last minute
but tbf I was urging him to go for goal rather than just try to keep possession safely so what the f**k do I know
Jesus f**king wept Jorge 'recycle'? 're f**king cycle'? I think I hate you now...
No, the crucial thing is to keep the ball. Not to give it away time and time again
Our whole game is based on that, just that. Be patient, there was no need to commit others
We were winning, there was no need to go for goal
get it down in the corner or keep it in midfield, f**k all the hollywood balls and barnstorming runs. As soon as we were down to ten men we needed pragmatism, not 'passion'.
I'm happy he played well, after all he's a wonderful player who's had a ****ty time of it, just use your f**king head Jack.
Sorry to piss you off here j but I completely agree with you
He had a tremendous game but f**k me, he did make a few sloppy passes..
Of course - I just wanted another goal to kill it off
I'm not saying it was a wise thing to do
Still hate you. Say something like polar bear mashing thirsty V8 and redeem yourself...
