I'm reading a history of the plague in Cambridge in the 17th century.
By Christ it's dull.
They all die.
The Queen's Head is one of the oldest pubs in the country, not far from there
Do you remember it being built?
Of course I do, very proud of my involvement in building history!
I don't recall asking you to do pubs
Philip Ziegler's History of the Black Death is very good.
There's also a very funny story about a chap who had the wheeze of voiding his privy into his cellar, only for the floorboards to rot and for him to drown in his own feculence. :hehe:
No, I'm afraid I'm done with buboes for now, thanks.
I can't believe a socialist 'man' can possibly be any good in bed.
Sorry to hear you're going to get knifed, mate. :-( When's the date?
I love the way it transpires she's a sex worker half way through. How much more Guardian can you get
Some time in August, after holibobs. Will arrange tomorrow. 4 weeks in a cast and then 4 months of physio 'should' see me walking again :-(
Very good taster menu at Midsomer House to be had in Cambridge.
One course consisted of Celeriac, which had been blackened for 3 hours over hot coals.
The ice cream scoop portion seemed a bit inadequate, given the fact the waiter retreated back to the kitchen with 90% of it :-(

Isn't it all keyholes and Da Vinci robots these days, though?
You may have to hobble to my 'event', then.
We're thinking October.
I shall be there even if I require a mobility scooter.
I'll bring the drugs
I've always wanted a white wedding!

Islington Town Hall. Seems like a reasonable compromise for people coming from south and north
Also, we should be able to find somewhere to do the baked meats on Upper St.
Gosh. Are you to be dressed in full kit?

Naturally. The bride will also be arriving by open top bus.
For the dilettante perhaps, but for the real story it's Sam Cohn for me
Popular history certainly puts the emphasis on the fiction of the story.
