Now that might just be in my top twenty favourite Arsenal goals
Ramsey's standing leg as he prepares to shoot
An absolutely outrageous technical goal
The fúcker could genuinely, very possibly, have won us the league, you know

Ramsey and Walcott together could have, theoretically
But in reality I think where we lacked were the structural players, the ones that add rigidity to a team.
We still dont have one of those, Flamini is literally the closest we have to that.
In my darker moments, I wonder if we are simply a continental team
trying to win an English league and whether this will always be futile.
And whether, despite their equally prominent foreign influence, Chelsea and Man City have both achieved a better balance in this regard.
I see it more of a philosophical difference, it's always harder to to anything with an ideology
The pragmatic nihilism and welath gone mad of the oil titans was always bound to hit home more.
Yep. I also think the large discrepancy between our good and bad performances
skews the perception. Because we rely so much on our attacking fluidity, when it breaks down it gives the impression that we are fundamentally an average team.
As a consequence, we are the only club who, in the space of a season, can be seen as both good enough to win the league and also a million miles away.
To give an example, despite the fact that we finished within touching distance of Chelsea (having finished above them last year), no-one talks about them in such terms.
When you're not being a cyber-cünt you can talk sense. You should try it more often
Is it not possible to talk sense whilst being a cyber-cúnt?

................................
If by "talking sense" do you mean can you make yourself understood when being a cyber-cünt then I suppose, technically, you can.
But I see no sense (aka justification) in being a cyber-cünt.
I reckon we're just not as good as we'd like to think we are, continental or otherwise.
After all, English clubs have done very well in Europe historically; plenty of European Cups.
Those same clubs have won dozens of league titles between them too. Never heard any of them described as particularly "continental" though.
They were just damn good sides.
I'm not sure. The teams above us have all played some great stuff this season.
As have we.
Not sure what ideology has got to do with it.
We go about our business with an ethos, some might say a dogma
The others are just pragmatic, success at all costs focussed juggernauts.
We're happy amateurs, Corinthian gentlemen, in comparison.
In comparison. But everyone has to work with the resources available to them.
Die lehre vom möglichen, as they say. That's what governs any ethos or ideology, imo.
Apart from when you have almost unlimited resources
It makes no difference; money always has a conscience of its own.
I shouldve done it a couple of posts back but I'm calling bollocks on you
Didn't you think we could win this title then?
Right up until it was mathematically impossible, that's the same malady we all suffer from
Malady is right. After all, how can we beat teams with greater financial resources.
Unless that is the whole point of competition :rubchin:
