This is Wenger's lowest point since his arrival at Arsenal. we really looked clueless today and its
important that the players take full responsibility, not just the manager.
I really can't understand why we had such a big change, it all started with the Norwich match
I have never imagined the moment that we would be outplayed in the Arsenal way by the opposition, I can't work out why this is happening, apart that our movement off the ball simply isn't happening and therefore not creating space and opportunities
Wenger has to earn his money like never before
-
Fcuk me, if even you're turning this is a crisis

-
It's just that AW doesn't have what AF does have.
-
A blue nose? Chewing gum? A statue?
-
He played the same front three against Sunderland in August
and after that game he was quite critical of the lack of movement etc. Seemed odd to go with them again today. Unless he thought Swansea would be more open and could be exposed on the break. Either way the end result was a really dire performance. What's really alarming, is how we're failing to impose our own game on opponents now. It's like the basic structure of our play has fallen apart.
-
you allready highlighted the problem ---lack of movement
we're very static and slow, paceless and short in skill.
we have an attacking problem http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif who would think our poor attack could end wengers reign, most experts thought lack of defending would bring him down.
my message to wenger: hang in there boss, dont give up the fight
-
Unfortunately you are spot on imo
-
Why do you think we suddenly have problems with lack of movement off the ball?
-
Anyone who plays Gervinho up front needs their head testing.
-
I think we have no real authority upfront so our midfield has nowhere to go.
It's actually been that way for a few seasons now, but maybe one or two of them could go on a run before it's too late.
We've still got a fairly new line-up and the team wasn't all that settled even before now.
-
when was the last time we counter attacked with real pace, why arent the players using their pace...
surely Gervinho and Walcott can use their pace to good effect ..
-
for me its clearly personel, there is nothing wrong with wengers philospohy
after all, he is known for producing free flowing football.
imo podolksi will not work out, he is a finisher, but he is limited technically and has zero movement.
gervinho can run all day long, but he is technically poor and has no vision, he is a poor signing
giroud is a powerfull striker and has an eye for goal, no pace and technique, but he brings power to the team.
walcott good pace good finisher but again lack of technique, he brings pace to the team
chamberlain have the potential to be better than all of them, but he is young and is bound to be inconsistent.
imo the first two are not good enough, the other three are complementary players and need 2 world class players around them...which we dont have
and the fact that we have a big HOLE in midfield doesnt help our overall game.
-
The problem is, he is too stubborn, he will continue the same way
Until we finish 10th. Then he will leave. The team have zero confidence.
The formation, the players, we are f**ked Nicosia.
Look how much players like michu cost abd others compared to the likes of Gervinho, santos. How much is chamakh earning. Where was arshavin? Surely he is better than the rest.
Wenger should've gone years ago, he has changed. He's lost his edge. I saw this years ago.
So many decisions over the years have been appalling from the days of letting diarra go when flamini was running down the contract. He's not the only one to blame, kronke, gazidis etc are jokes and ruining our club.
If he's not careful, wenger will be remembered for messing up our team piece by piece and staying far too long. Football has evolved, he hasnt
-
It's because he's French.
-
Why are you such a twat?
-
-
Agree with all of that. The tragedy is, this was the best he could get with the funds he was given!
-
What is his philospohy besides selling our star players?
-
some of podolksi movement was excellent in other games and has personel really changed that much?
I agree with much of the post - but I think podolksi plays better up front - he has to work too hard on the wing and is therefore knackered.
Was upper tier today and I have never seen such a static Arsenal team, a lot seems to be players totally not gelling yet most of these have been together for a while now and we started off OK...so I'm confused.
I can only think Cazorla needs a break and today we were carrying gervinho who was very poor...we def need to buy some more 'super quality' players to finish this team off but that still doesn't explain the current form.
-
No it isn't.
-
Does he sell them or does the board?
-
Both together; it's why the board hired Wenger in the first place.
-
This particular board didn't. Dein did!
-
Same difference; the policies of the old board attracted the new one.
-
thats the issue mate. with our budget we can only get
more complementary players or gamble on another youngster with potential. and with the world class players we molded gone....there is no way out of this. unless the spending policy changes.
those thinking bringing in another manager can solve this issue are simply wasting their time. i mean we could need another manager to solve different issues ...but quality players cost money no matter who the manager is
-
Maybe, but it seems there was greater ambition in the transfer market when Dein was there....
-
he isnt selling them, he doesnt own the club
-
Yep!
-
I'm not sure. On paper, this squad seems comparable with one from ten years ago.
-
Bergkamp, Henry, Vieira, Keown, Campbell....I reckon they were better....
Not sure if all of them were Dein's doing though..!
-
Right. Because they won trophies

-
They defended as a unit, we defended like scholl kids and needed our keeper to bail us out.
