Cazorla finished 2nd behind Iniesta yet some of our fans think he is overated
Cazorla has finished in second place, behind Andres Iniesta in the category of ‘Best attacking midfielder’ for La Liga for the 2011/12 season
During his time at Malaga, Cazorla scored nine goals and grabbed six assists during his 38 league appearances and was integral to the side securing Champions League football for the first time in their history. He was the team’s second top scorer for the 11/12 season.
The 2011-12 Premios LFP winners are voted for by players and coaches at each Spanish club.

Hes alright. Just dont think hes as good as some make him out to be.
-
I'm sure you just make shit up to have a dig at people. I'm yet to hear any Arsenal fan
-
===>
-
But you are a Reading fan
-
So one person then......
-
So therefore my opinion is neutral
-
So first you accuse me of making up and then 'So one person then'
-
He probably means overated when it comes to the hysterical outpuring that he is better
than Cesc after a handful of games.
-
No, you are just confused
-
Does he?
-
Perhaps you should have said fan? Then again i thought East Upper wasn't a true fan?
-
You said fans, that would indicate more than one. Once again you will try and twist this
to make out you're in the right.
-
-
Is that right?
-
Fourth would be better
-
Oh, i have. But then he could be excellent and overrated. The minute anyone compares him to
Cesc, for example. Not even in the same league, but still very good.
Apart from the last six games where he has been largely a passenger, the little c**t http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/smile.gif
-
So if he finds one more you will admit he is right?
-
He's faded big time. It's a worry. Shame as I loved watching him early season
-
I like podolski
-
Undecided on him. Another who is alarmingly anonymous in more than a game or two
Ironically Giroud is looking the most likely to succeed at the moment, after his slow start.
-
How long have you been supporting Arsenal?
The reason I am asking this is because you may remember players such as Pires who in their first season were hot and cold and didn't really shine until their 2nd season.
European players find it difficult when they first join the intensity of the premiership but great players will eventually come through.
Trust me, he is a special player. He isn't so highly rated in Spain for no reason.
-
Steady on old chap.
-
Perhaps you can learn from that, give time before you can make a judgement
-
Yeah but players like Pires started slowly. The problem with Cazorla is he had an impressive start
and has now faded. Surely if he was having problems adapting he wouldn't have had this impressive start in the first place? And so many games where he's been quiet in the last few weeks, doesn't make much sense.
For example Giroud's progress is much more logical, struggle at first, now signs of him coming good (having adapted), that makes a lot more sense for things to have happened in that order.
-
I said I'm undecided though, which means I haven't passed a judgment
-
Different players react differently, Cazorla isn't used to playing so many intensive games, how many
games has Giroud started? Perhaps your answer lies there
Give the guy a chance, why do you think he is so highly rated in Spain?
-
That's right, I think. People forget that this is basically a whole new side.
Going back a season or two, almost the entire first team has changed.
-
Yes but the problem here is Cazorla really shone early on
Pires, Bergkamp, Henry, Anelka, Petit all started slowly, then came good. As I said, that's logical.
Cazorla almost started too well, and the fact he's a shadow of that player now (for a number of games too), it's concerning.
Hopefully he does come back to form.
-
Jesus wept, he started well but not used to playing so many intensive matches :baghead:
-
I agree. But like I said, message reported to our new forward division.
-
And what exactly are you basing that theory on?
He's barely played well since the last international break. Surely you'd expect him to shine in at least one or two matches, before fading a bit in the others?
Also he's an older, more experienced and established player than we tended to sign in the past.
-
The whole team has been struggling, imo, for various reasons.
-
I give in, he is crap
-
Absolutely. He's a very good player but people like Nic have him down as the greatest ever.
Some probably have a picture of him by their bedside table. I have Giroud. Anyway he is good but classifying him as in Cescs class after 4 good games is pathetic and desperate.
-
I have never said he was the greatest ever and neither have I compared him to Cesc - however, you
have not wasted anytime to classify him as overated, anything to put Wenger down, your game is clear but you are just not good at it.
He is a very good player and no coincidence that the Spanish players voted him the 2nd best offensive player
-
i said hes a good player but hes not the messiah or buy of the season that some are saying.
Hes played 4 exceptional games but since hes been pretty much marked out of games by teams who have sussed him out. Thats fact and not anything to do with attacking your beloved wenger. Stop acting the cry baby and start looking at the bigger picture. Take your head out of wengers backside and remember its Arsenal FC not Arsene FC. Idiot.
-
What an abusive twat you are, I pity your son that he has you as an example
-
Rich coming from you. He who snaps like a yappy dog at anyone who dare critisise AW and then sides
with the vilest of filth on here simply because they support wenger. Youre a pathetic man.
-
: Cazorla is not overrated
he just looks out of sorts after having to play two games a week for 3 months . It's a different ball game in the English Premier League to what it is in La Liga. So whatever rating Caz boy had there is irrelevant to our league.
All of this stuff about players needing a season and digging up examples is just *******s. A lot depends on the other players in the side .Torres was better at Liverpool because the team played to his strengths . Cazorla is being asked to do too much,he's no Fabregas and has said so himself. I had to laugh though at Wenger's naive belief that Diaby could replace Song who is a big miss .
No wonder Cazorla and Poldolski look pissed off, they thought that they were joining a side that was going to Challenge for the league title and not just 4th place.
