Aaron Ramsey best game in an Arsenal shirt by a mile
-
He was blowing out of his arse by 55 minutes and faded for the rest of the game
I was surprised AW didn't take him off.
-
Wenger's subs always baffle me
-
Agree to a large extent actually. Always does them on 60, 70 or 80 minute mark as well
I found it refreshing to see Bould do one at 76 mins last week http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif
-
The only strange won was Gerve staying on, imo.
-
Best game in a while.
It appears many have forgotten just the impact he was on the verge of having before the injury.
-
Rarely does before 70 minutes, was a bit annoyed yesterday they weren't made earlier
as was fairly obvious that we were running out of gas
-
Strange we kept on a player that was permanently involved
and created most of our best chances?
-
I think 60 minute is the marker when things aren't going as he wants.
He obviously felt we were still in it yesterday but as that was Ramsey's first start of the season (I think), I thought he should have been hooked at 60 mins.
-
Hmm, sort of but you could just tell he was having one of those games
-
On this occasion, monty is right....
-
I'm not sure I'd be happy about superstition playing a part in our manager's substitution decisions
-
I noticed him missing loads of chances, didn't see him create any
-
Made two attacking subs when losing the game.
We got back level, why risk unabalancing the side at that stage.
An away point @ City is a great result.
-
How do you forget something that hasn't happened yet?
-
Maybe you just don't like Ramsey?
You could twist your argument and suggest that Diaby having played as many games as he has following such a long lay off would need to come off before Ramsey.
To be fair Ramsey just dropped into the middle and did a very good job.
-
Credit where credit's due - he did well to get himself positioned for those chances
But ffs, his first touch, his shot, I mean, he should have been taken off just to make a point!
-
Not really though is it, player keeps fluffing chances, confidence dips
snatches at chances, tries too much, etc
-
How about the one he screwed up right at the end? That was all his own work.
-
Beat 1 person, and then managed to miss by 1/2 a stand
-
His pace to get on to Ramsay's pass was his own creation
His trade-mark direct running from the inside left position before shooting narrowly wide was his own creation
His good touch, movement and pace late in the game after our equaliser before blazing over was his own creation.
I can keep going if you want...
-
Very frustrating, but his involvement in so much of our good play is not to be sniffed at
-
So running fast in a straight line is creatin the chance, not the inch perfect pass to him????
-
I wish I could run that fast
-
You are genuinely a thick cĂșnt
We are talking here about reasons to have kept Gervinho on.
Of course, it was Ramsay's superb pass that created the chance, but it was ALSO Gervinho's pace. He is one of only a few of our players with the pace to have got on to the end of that ball.
-
The chance he created for himself late on was justification on its own
for keeping him on the pitch, regardless of the appalling finish.
-
Really? Confidence was gone by that point was always likely to slash at any chance
I see where you're coming from but I'd have taken him off
