I'm laughing my head off anticipating being here when Wenger turns it round!
-
Prepare for the abuse from the frothing-at-mouth-'WOOGNAHH-EEUUUUOT'-wankers imo
-
Who decided to give a 65-year-old manager a three-year contract extension?
It would cost us 20 million to sack him, so it won't happen.
The only possibility is to move him upstairs, which would complicate things for the next manager or for things to deteriorate to the extent that he resigns or leaves by mutual consent.
I suspect half the debate inside the club is whether Wenger should be retained as Director of Football with a head coach like Paul Clement, Remi Garde or Thierry Henry in charge of first team affairs or whether to have a clean break when Wenger goes and bring in a new boss like Klopp, Guardiola or Ancelotti with total control as manager.
-
did you see the difference yesterday.
2 teams with pretty damn good attacking options
both with injury ravaged makeshift defences
1 team played with organisation, shape and discipline at the back
the other shipped 2 goals to an opponent that had one shot on target.
I'm pissing myself laughing at you.
-
AWIMB won't be around in 10 years time...
And neither will Wenger...
:cooper:
-
AKBs deluded as Wenger
-
not frothing at the mouth, just sad and bored with the same old same old
Einstein had Wenger's number...
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." -
-
Yep, there'll probably be a few of those. Many of us can have a reasonable debate about it though.
-
Nothing wrong with masturbation and wanting a better manager for the Arsenal...
-
define "turns it around"
While wenger is here we will not win the league or champions league. He has built a playing style that is predictable and does not stand up to test by the top teams as evidenced by our continuous failure to beat top 4 teams in the last 6 or 7 years.
-
Trophy and champions league football = turn it round. We've never won the CL and we never will
unless our financial model or football's or both changes.
-
Re: Trophy and champions league football = turn it round. We've never won the CL and we never will
and we won't win the league either so that just leaves the FA cup and the league cup. The league cup is a lottery because we just play our squad players. So that just leaves the FA cup and although we won it last year both Wigan and Portsmouth have won it as much as us in the last 10 years. So unless we win FA cup 2 or 3 times in next 5 years then we can't say anything has changed.
And frankly just winning a coupe of FA cups would in reality hardly be a great success for a club that has 60,000+ crowds every week, charges the highest prices in the premier league and makes 100s of millions in revenue. Seems to me that Wenger has added very little value on the field as the sum of the parts are not much better than the individual parts.
-
You may wish to consider supporting Man City, Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern. Or support a
takeover by Usmanov or a more buccaneering owner than our current one.
If we got a couple of extra players, brushed up on our defence and team spirit we might win a league title with what we have and our modus operandi - we've come close a couple of times in the last few years - but we need to spend lots of money consistently to be competing for the big two.
60,000 crowds are nothing. It's all tv money and commercial deals these days and the best commercial deals are the totally uncommercial up schemed up by dodgy owners.
-
ooooh interesting
so what your saying is that the infrastructure and amount of money being paid to players, management etc. plus the prices being charged to the fans is non-commensurate with just competing for the FA cup and that therefore it could be argued that AFC is failing as a model for a successful modern football club.
Unless, of course, the aim isn't football success but rather financial gain at the expense of supporters.
-
If the gate money is as insignificant as you propose
then why are we being so soundly wallet raped by the club?
-
oh dear
a couple of players and brush up defence and team spirit
what are you on?
we needed the players in the summer
the team spirit against better sides has been a joke over the past 5 years
it all comes from Wenger
control freak that will be gone by christmas
-
Par for the course, helps to keep us where we are. Do a quick sum and see how much of our wages are
paid for by a full house.
-
Also, that is as depressing as cosmology and climate change
and just as loudly denied by f**ktards
-
I'm at the Emirates every fortnight, you're on 13 messages in a website full of trolls. The fact we
didn't get what we needed in th summer doesn't negate that it is what we need.
-
So the question therefore is:
is where we are worth the money we are being asked to pay?.
Which leads into... is what we are paying the manager and players worth where we are?.
I think its reasonable to suggest the answer to both those questions is currently a resounding No.
The board of course will see this as an argument for increasing gate money and paying more to AW and his players.
-
it does suggest that
our very well paid manager isnt doing a very good job at the moment
-
That one year contract extension for Diaby isn't going to pay for itself
Good thing Diaby isn't a horse...he would've been turned into glue years ago....
-
Re: I'm at the Emirates every fortnight, you're on 13 messages in a website full of trolls. The fact we
i go every home game
and have done for many years
your akb spouting is absolutely sickening
the crowd have turned and if you turn up Wednesday and open your eyes and ears you will understand that his time has come and gone
so f**k off with the I am their every fortnight ****
-
spot on
-
I bet you haven't been closer to the Emirates than Bombay or Brisbane. What's the weather like there?
-
Stan Kroenke. The darling of many of awimbs posters.
-
Another troll with 13 messages! Brilliant! Are you rojo's twin - or his left hand?
-
and who the f**k are u..
Another f**kwit who thinks they are the gospel on arsenal
-
Someone who will stick with the Arsenal even if we dropped to the Conference, gaijin man.
-
Re: Someone who will stick with the Arsenal even if we dropped to the Conference, gaijin man.
What are you trying to say ,, I would not?
you really are mentally challenged.
All on here support arsenal
all on here want a change. Except for pecker heads like you
And to mention the conference is just the type of akb we do not need
he mentions 4th as a trophy you mention conference
You really are a halfwit. No ambition and no f**king brain
-
Listen, no offence. If you really are new here you will soon realise half the people on the board
are not Arsenal. Especially the ones who only turn up when we lose a game.
As for the rest, hey, happy to support the Arsenal forever we've won lots of stuff and will again in the future. Saying you want something without knowing how to get it isn't ambitious, just plain daft.
-
Re: Listen, no offence. If you really are new here you will soon realise half the people on the board
I have been on and off here for many years
the club and supporters lack ambition
There are too many deluded , that fallen under the wenger spell of bull****
for change no question about it
he bould and the under 21, s guy should all get sacked along with peyton the goalkeeping coach
the club woukd have a list of many that woukd want to run the team
I dont believe there is one manager in the premier league that would have done a worse job than wenger this season
he is a joke
tactically f**king cluelesss
He blames the players ,, but its his fault
where I sit which is a few rows behind the home dugout he is hated
and when we lose on wednesday he will get it again
the fans got rid of terry neill we will do it again with him
