For all my complaining, I am a fair man. If I genuinely thought we were doing our best I would at least acknowledge it. The frustration comes from the fact that we are capable of better, and have proved it.
With a fair wind and a little slice of luck I think we could win the league next season without buying a striker. The goals are there in this side, and we know it. A quality midfielder might help us to control possession which, in my opinion, would make the bigger difference in our output.
The people going on about 'its always next season' seem to miss the point of supporting a football club. Of course we worry about next season. And the one after that. This is a lifelong commitment, not a Friday night bunk up :-)
