"And here comes Olivier Giroud; fifteen stone of prime French beef." :billmclaren:
The dip in results coincided with players coming back from injury
Hence using the failure to buy players to cover injuries seems to be a peculiar criticism. Even with all the players out, I am struggling to remember games when we have put out a particularly weak XI, that you wouldn't have thought capable of winning the match (on a good day)
Fans are like wives in that regard though.
But would you not see is as perhaps isolated failure?
And allow the man the duration of his current deal to attempt to remedy.
Absolutely. They *always* know.
Although that's a slightly different discussion, clearly many believe our players aren't good enough
regardless of which combination of them you put out.
That's why The Boss needs to be more careful when talking about mone .. resources. I'm sure it gives them the idea that if they were actually as good as we want to believe they are, they would all be playing somewhere else for someone decent.
Happily, that short era appears to be over now.
players coming back from injury will not be match fit, so could disrupt the team
that is a different discussion than not buting any players in the summer when he knew JW, DW and TR were all out for a good length of time... and when we all know we are crying out for another striker
If Walcott and Giroud's form had not dipped at the same time we wouldn't be saying that though
This mythical striker that we needed may have turned out to be **** We needed in-form strikers
