The problem is that, invariably, the fans who criticise him and decide he’s wrong do not perform the
due diligence required.
It is absolutely logical and reasonable to always start from a position that Wenger is right, and to consider every factor that may have dictated his decision, before deciding he is wrong.
As a devout defender of Wenger, I found myself doing this over his decision to play Ospina in the CL. I considered every factor that could have influenced his decision and, on balance, decided he was wrong
Can you honestly say the fans who tend to always criticise him *ever* do this with rigour?
I agree, with the first part at least
I do wonder how many truly 'common people' can afford to be an STH at our place though.
AKB or at least more than any of the alternatives
A couple of occasions I've thought perhaps it's time for him to go and then completely goes and redeems himself......or I've just thought about the possible alternatives
Better the devil you know, grass isn't always greener, etc, etc
Good God no! Have you seen some of these people?
They're repellent. Taxi drivers, forklift truck drivers, labourers, that sort of thing.
Nope, you changed your mind and wanted him to stay after the cup final
and said exactly that.
Now you want him out again. So that's twice. Anymore u-turns you'd care to admit to?
Credit/crime/ their Islington parents bought their council flats and have been inherited by the kids
who in turn sold them for fortunes and moved to pastures news such as Hertfordshire and Enfield.
Tell me these people aren't common.
You surely don't imagine that being able to shell out a grand or so a season precludes you
being common, do you? I would refer you to everyone who has ever appeared on Arsenal Fan TV or whatever it's called. All season ticket holders. All common as muck.
Well yes, exactly, it doesnt really stack up, does it?
