The later albums and Noel's High Flying birds stuff is very similar.

Tried the new Fleet Foxes album but it wasn’t happening for me. See also the new Ride album.
Yeah - I don't think the Foxes will ever live up to their astonishing debut, but it's ok. Give the Ride album another listen or several - it's my current fave.

I would still listen to the first eponymous album quite regularly, a magnificent effort I have always thought. Splendid live also at the time.
