My big objection to the pink ball so far is that it looks utterly fůcking silly. :-(
It's moving about a fair bit. Oh dear, 2 down now.

Oh for heaven's sake! What is wrong with our number 2 bats?! You could put Cobham 2nds out there and their bowling attack would cater for our number 2 within minutes. *******s to it!

Yet another ridiculously easy umpire decision that's not given and forced the bowling side to refer.

I've always said it's Strauss' fault; he went before we were ready to replace him.

Yes. It does allow mediocre umpires to play save by giving everything not out and then leaving it to the technology to correct.

It is starting to look as though no new batsmen want to go to Australia, isn't it?
Is Ian Bell still available?

The one for Monty's hat-trick is the last test was an utter nonsense. As soon as it hit the pad it was so utterly straight that I still have no idea how it wasn't given

It was always going to be that way though, if you want the right decision all the time.

Yes. All the worse when you consider the one that was given to dismiss Bairstow on 99, where the system basically ended up backing up what was in fact a pīss poor decision.

Yes, I do mean Moeen. One wears a hat and drinks and the other sports a bushy beard and doesn't.

He is worryingly obsessed with his dead mum, though. He's forever dragging her into the conversation.

He was rubbish.

More a loving paean of remembrance, I reckon, rather than a worrying obsession. Mums are terrific.

I've also played against Monty. He got 0 for about 50 from 10. ****e.
Some people tried to make excuses for him, telling me that it's because he's depressed

I remember him urinating on a club bouncer from on top of a roof. Is that what one does when depressed?
To be honest, judging by his intake at the beer festival that followed the game, he wasn't so much depressed as a raging píss artist.

From now on, AWIMB, lunch should be known as the "end of session one". :judge:

Nowadays, you're allowed to do anything you want, I think, if you claim you're depressed.

Not a bad call against this bowling attack! If Stokes and Bairstow get in against this bowling we could rack up 400 odd today, in fact we might anyway!

True. And Ian Bell has grown a rather nice beard. Worth another go with him, I reckon.
