along with Abou Khedira. Sad seens.
Mind you that was about 5pm when we were chatting to our English neighbour.
I'd like to see him do it against defences not playing such a suicidally high line before I really laud him as the second coming.
Nice to have Alexis back, mind.
it twice went out for throw-ons

That is extremely unfair.
I merely like to apply a touch of adult balance when all around us are acting like hysterical little girls.
With respect to Theo yes he has harder challenges ahead of him but one has to applaud his performance on Saturday. As with any footballer he will hopefully improve the more times he get to play in that role and certainly Saturday was his most complete performance this season.
Leicester are nothing special mind you and will now begin to level out and soon find themselves in mid table where they belong.
Going back to Saturday I thought Ozil was magnificent again and Mertesacker, after the opening period where we were a little all over the place and quit fortunate to not go 2-0 down, brought an air of calm and measure to our defence.

defensively they're nothing special
With regards to Saturday. As much as it was great to see Alexis back it was also lovely to see Ozil playing so well.
As much as I'm a fan of the Gargoyle from Sao Paolo Per brings an element of calm in the defence that shouldnt be understated.
coincided with the times that first Flamini and then The Ox were on the pitch. I think we were very lucky not to go two down.
Also, Arteta has always been a bit fouly, I think. But perhaps even more so very recently.
One could also just apply a less analytical and more pub conversation approach and suggest they were ‘quicker out of the blocks’ in an effort to get on top and accordingly to get the crowd going etc.
I did not see the game live instead watched more or less full coverage on SS that evening, after the rugby. I still stand by my assertion of last week that Flamini is simply no longer at a level requisite for playing for us at this level.
From what I have seen of Arteta, save for a decent cameo v Palace, he would concern me also.
I seriously hope this is not an issue that comes back to annoy us this season.
