Long, long way to go and every team has shown they are capable of an implosion.

Look at our recent one- 2 point out of nine. That's how quickly a big lead can disappear.

I dont think the league is any tighter in terms of quality from top to bottom, but the ****ter teams are becoming more efficient with tactics. It makes even the more straightforward games a little trickier as you may outplay teams but you still have to break them down.

I wonder if that little blip will do us good. I was getting a bit scared when we looked like going 8 points clear. I'm not scared now :-)

I think it is, P. The PL is so much richer now. 6 teams in the CL, 5 of whom made top 8. Europa final between teams in 16th and 17th or whatever it was. Hammers won the Conf with Dec. It's a lot tighter nowadays - we were Invincibles in '04, and undefeated away from home in '02. City haven't done that despite winning everything, have they?

I fully agree about AW's achievements. But the league is better in terms of quality as well as tactics, imo.

No, City haven't gone unbeaten. But they have reached 100 points, and mid 90s several times. The invincibles never did that. In 98 we won the league with 78 points.

Looking at records is a circular argument, though. I can say it is because of tactics, you can argue it is because of quality. And as for Europe, I think we have always known that outside the top 6, the Premier league is far better than the other leagues. That is why our league is so popular- and so rich.

Either way, the point was that there are no easy games these days- apart from Burnley and Wolves.

Yes, twice. But overall, we win more with him and score more too; concede fewer goals and keep more clean sheets as well.

He didn't score when we lost to the Scousers cos no-one did. He wasn't one of the two scorers when we lost to ManU recently. Cant remember who scored when we lost at Villa, but it's certainly not two defeats.

Just googled - Leo scored at Villa.

So as with Rush and the Scousers, we have never lost when Vik has scored. Fact.
