We've got plenty of money, I think. Presumably the new manager will be prepared to put his job on the line in order to win us the league. Let's see if that helps.

No I would argue that he can spend the money safe in the knowledge that unless he is demonstrably taking us further backwards which I don’t really think is possible, then he is still looking at a plan of 3-5 years to actually have us challenging.
I would hope any of the names being bandied around could do that. A young buck like Nagelmann or Howe may struggle with the size of the task.
You're probably right. It just depends how demanding we want to be. If our new chap spends even half your warchest there and finishes fifth; is that good enough to justify giving him the second half? When Wenger did it, we rewarded Him with Laca and Auba, so what's our standard now?
Results should be more important than money, but Wenger's last few years in the Premier League may belie that claim.
