but the result will be that companies are put off from hiring women altogether. I mean, the candidate has to be pretty damn incredible for a small company to hire them if they have to take into account absence through maternity leave, and now monthly rag week leave
pay, making them take it as holiday and - if need be - make it a disciplinary matter.
The point is that it isn't fair on other employees and sets a bad example.
