Well quite. If there is a fee agreed then that is Barca dealt with.
It then becomes a terms with player matter. As Cesc already took a pay CUT to move from us to Barca, I think he is perfectly capable of assessing things in the round.
Also, we have a trump card, albeit not one I am sure I could see Arsene playing - if someone else agrees a fee, we can match and secure the player if he is happy with the personal terms. If we were to match those too, why wouldn't he come back where he's loved?
