I don't understand how a contract can be so open to interpretation
It's a legally binding document related to the sale of a multi million pound asset. The agent shouldn't leave anything open as a gentleman's agreement or a verbal agreement. Especially something so important as a release clause. What advantage is it to the player that they have to let him know when a bid over 40m comes in? Obviously he'd get to know about it without the club telling him anyway
