I don?t like hearing these pundits saying we?re set fair to doninate

the league for the next few years. We?ve not done that sort of thing since the thirties and competition is fierce these days.
Three seasons of being runners up and finally lifting the title is hugely impressive but the likelihood is, we?ll get knocked from our perch next season.
A period of adjustment bedding in new players and a resurgence from the likes of Liverpool and possibly, Chelsea or United, both under new management may prove tougher next time around.
I?m expecting City to finally eat that huge shyte sandwich that?s surely coming their way, otherwise I?d throw them into the mix too.
The bookies will have us as favourites but last seasons run in was blessed with good fortune, as opposed to steam rolling the opposition.

We will know more in the next couple of months. Clearly our entire attack needs a radical overhaul and we need something extra in midfield, too.

If that gets done then I'd say we will have a strong season next season.

The important thing is that we have a top manager who is happy here and an owner that has been vocal about wanting to push on - and I think they will continue to back us financially.

The biggest challenge is in the dressing room. You have to keep that hunger and desire at the same level. Fortunately, Arteta is a relentless obsessive who will be desperate to win it again.

Well, to me it seems that player personality forms a significant part of our recruitment process. Perhaps more so than actual talent at times - which is no bad thing.

I suspect that our five captains will demanding more from the group as well as Arteta.

Sounds like Trossard and Martinelli may be off too :yikes:

I thought the bookies always had last season's champs as favourites. I don't really bet but every time I read an article about the upcoming PL/Div 1 season, it's always the last winners as favourites.

I saw people discussing whether we could attract Mbappe.... you can call me crazy, but I think he is probably the last player in the world i would want in that dressing room. And Jude Bellingham not far behind.

Arteta doesnt want egos and troublemakers. And on that i am 100% behind him. He has constructed a phenomenal team spirit and you dont ruin that. Not for anyone.

Our attack is fine. Everybody has simply mis-represented what it's supposed to be doing.

Basically, Mikel has pretty much fooled everyone, really messed with their heads.
