Genuine question. Is this usual for T20/top level T20 or not? Big scores without a single slog, all with pwoppa cricket shots and good timing and fast hands. As I say, I never really watch it cos it's not cricket if, on a quick pitch, the opening bowler doesn't have 4 slips and a gully.

I did thino the bowling was poor at times. They bowled some real muck and he seemed to get in their heads a bit.
It is an unsatisfying form of cricket, but quite entertaining. Different skill sets, and opportunities for players whose weaknesses make them unsuitable for test cricket.
He is amazing. I'd only watched him in tests. But a 50 ball ton without a single slog seemed amazing. I just wish he wouldn't throw his wicket away when set because he has the talent to score as many as Root but faster.Quote:
