If PSG perform at home like they did against Villa this could get unpleasant.
Mind you, remember that time Bayern stuffed us 1-3 at home and then we scared them in Munich?
I got extremely drunk with LA that night :-)

Yes and no. Raya made a couple of good saves and they missed a couple of late chances (although both would have been tight on offside). We had a goal ruled out on a marginal offside and their keeper made two excellent saves from chances we should have put away.
I am not one for stats but our expected goals was considerably higher than theirs and the overall stats suggest a balanced game. I don't think a draw would have been an unfair result.
That said, I think they are a better side than us, and I think they will prove it even further in the second leg.
Some football journos really do tie themselves in knots and love to write according to the scoreline and not the playing of the game.
The Tele has one journo writing that we were completely outclassed in all areas and then the player ratings have their keeper as their best player :hehe:
I thought it was pretty even after the first 20 min and I would not under-estimate the loss of Partey in that game. He might not be our most influential player against all opposition but against that PSG team we badly missed him in midfield. Not to mention that it has Rice out of his best position.
If we get to HT 0-0 at their place I rate our chances of equalising and as we saw at Villa, they can fade late in the game and lose their shape at the back.
Remains to be seen, but we are only 90 min away from a CL final, how many times in our club's history has that happened? Happy days imo
I was thinking about this during the game. I think the way PSG play tends to lead people to think they are ripping opponents apart when, in fact, they are not. They are very fluid and very easy on the eye, but they don't tend to land too many punches. They bombarded Liverpool for the first three halves of their tie and only scored once.
You are right that we have done well to get this far. It has to be said, our record in this competition is shocking. Everyone else who has qualified regularly from England has won it. Even Spurs got to a final. We have one final and two semi finals in something like 20-25 qualifications. Before this season we had only won two quarter finals. When you think that we were a really good side for some of that time, that is appalling.
I was just looking at our knockout rounds in 2006
How in f*ck's name did we not concede in 6 games with Real Madrid, Juve and Villareal with a back five of Lehmann Eboue Senderos Toure and Flamini?
:hehe:
Mind you, maybe, just maybe, being so weak at the back made us play more sensibly, especially in midfield. We played 451 and if I recall correctly midfield was Bobby, Freddie, Gilberto, Cesc and Hleb?
