Looks like Morgan Schneiderlin is on his way to United
I have to say, I thought 25m was a bit steep and United's need is greater than ours in that department but are we risking another one of those summers where every player we're linked to goes off and joins another club?
Seems to have happened with Jackson and now Schneiderlin.
It's enough to make a chap bust out the :banghead:
try again... put the 25m towards a new striker
I think the common belief is that the version of Coquelin Jan-May makes a signing less important.
He did very well of course, no person should ever try and argue otherwise, though he is but one man. We have to assume Arsene has a plan.
Am I correct in thinking that our immaculately coiffured captain has not yet renewed his membership to the Arsenal family?
Im not entirely sure we need a new striker
If we do we probably need to shift one of Giroud, #Welbz or Theo
I would think that even less likely than us buying a new midfield option.
As long as Walcott stays.
I was wondering about Arteta the other day
no announcement that I can recall and contracts are all up next week. Very odd
Internal solutions? Yeah, oddly Mikel is out of contract but hasnt been listed as released
I completely agree on the Coq front, wonderful player and the surprise of last season but the last thing he needs is more pressure on him as the only player capable of that role, which he is, and being asked to play week in, week out.
And, if we are in the position of going away to Barca, Bayern or Madrid then I'd very much like someone else to be able to come into the middle and play alongside him as a screen.
Getting on, good enough to play a lot of games for most clubs.
Potentially unlikely to play many for us. I can see him moving on if there is offers, but then all my arguments could equally be applied to Rosicky who is still with us.
I know all this stuff about experience and influence around the club, but he’s a player and by definition will want to play.
I think you are more than aware of my feelings on this issue.
I would buy the player tomorrow (the player being whoever Wenger has identified, be that MS or whoever) and allow the natural process of team selection to occur.
If that means FC misses out then you know, that's how it rolls.
Competition. Options.
