Ecclestone was unlikely to have been found guilty anway
as I understand (from reporter Christian Sylt who has been covering this for years) that the judge found Gribkowsky's evidence against Bernie to be unsatisfactory. It looks more likely that rather than bribing Gribkowsky, Ecclestone was being blackmailed by him.
So this deal probably just ends the whole tedious thing early, and awards some ****** FREE MONEY ***** for Bavaria. Bernie says they should build themselves a motor racing circuit with it.
Or they could just speed up the work on the Ubahn so my line didn't
close EVERY BLEEDING SUMMER * after Bayern's last home game of one season to their first of the next. Or they could help Uli Hoeneß out
*the last two I forgot it was fine the first year I was here
But hang on. All furrin transport systems are perfect aren't they? Only British ones are shit.
