Huge wages but you could easilly give him a million quid a week :hide: sign him up for 4 years

any superstar signing these days cost at least 100 million so that's 2 years of his wages covered.
Free up some deadwood on the books, F Eddie out the window and give him the 14 Shirt. TH14 will convince him to join. Why be another Galactico when you can be the main man in North London.

Merchandise etc would bring in loads.

after 2 years after we've won every trophy known to man and back to back Champions league winners. let him him go off to Madrid to carry on with our blessing for a big fee.

He basically wouldn't cost anything and probably would make a profit.

Anybody got Edu's number? I'll get it sorted.

and to add, All he needs to do is have a chat with Arteta to explain 'the process' and it will be all done and dusted.

"Mbappe To Real Madrid!" is old news by now; Fleet Street is bored with it. Hence the links to the Arsenal :-\

 Pretty sure this was signed and done a while ago. Was never going anywhere other than Real.

I had a tour of their new state of the art upgraded stadium.

Wasn't impressed to be honest.

I believe he is currently on around 170 million a year.......

Well that rules out the Spanish. City don’t need him and the rest are running scared of FFP.
Saudi is probably his only viable option, or staying put.

One way or another, he's going to Real Madrid. Maybe he is willing to take a pay cut- say, 165? :-)

Real will be provided some special dispensation, as usual.

There must be plenty of ways to circumvent the rules if you are willing to take the financial hit. Endorsements, bonuses, suspiciously large expense accounts.....

Make no mistake, I'd love him to come to us...mostly for the amount of piss it would boil across opposition fans and media. I just can't see it.

No way in the world we are pissing that much money up the wall. Madness!

I don't think Arteta's approach to coaching is very well suited to superstars. We don't want them. We want more Sakas and Rices.

Will be interesting to see how long we manage to hold on to Saliba.

I also think Martinelli has the ability to be almost as good. There's no better player in the PL at bringing the ball down, his finishing is good, he can go past people (doesn't do it enough) and electric pace.

He is capable of scoring 30 a season. But I think there is a touch of the superstar about him. Not convinced we will hang on to him that long if he does hit the heights we think think he can.

Barca are rumoured to be sniffing around. I just think he lacks a bit in confidence.

I don't think we get him into scoring positions often enough. Just can't quite work out why.

If we are going to start using White as the inverted full back it is going to change the balance of our build up and might pull him further inside more frequently. Will be interesting to see how that develops.

I think he's just told to hug the touchline, therefore we only see him as a more conventional winger.

Like Henry when he joined us :-)

There's a no. 9 there, I'm convinced

Absolutely, said it before I'd love to see given a bit more freedom as more of an old-fashioned inside left.

Of course, getting young Kylie in would help with that; once and for all ditching the nonsense about not buying superstars.

It was fine and noble and a' that so far as it went but, after all, we did build the Emirates so we COULD buy superstars. Let's become a final destination at last rather than a mere stepping stone.

It's a mentality-thing now; does he have the minerals for it. A striker is expected to score every game, whereas for a winger, 1-in-3 or four or five will do. Some players may be happier hiding out wide rather than being the main man in the middle everyone looks to to win games.

Same with Saka. Each goal he gets is something of a nice bonus at the moment. He brings to mind Robben. When you think of him, he's always scoring THAT goal. In fact, he didn't actually do it that often. In a successful Robben team, the REAL goalscoring was always done by somebody else.

Absolutely - he's quite a clever finisher with his left (see the West Ham one when he knew the keeper was expecting the curler into the far corner for instance) but on his right he just does the basics, but there is still good technique there. We are blessed to have him

He could actually become our very own Lionel Messi. Sorry, ruined it now :-\
