Well this post didn't age well T.

I don't think a single player really got to grips with the pitch. Although I think it was more to do with how quickly and confidently they could twist/turn and adjust their body weight etc. rather than the movement of the ball.

It was weird, the ball bounced like a rugby ball, took a hop on the 2nd bounce

Only because Turner had a very good game. He still always looks in a total panic, though

Also it looked like an old 1g sand pitch. Not a rubber crumb in sight.

At least we seem to have escaped with a victory and no injuries
