Btw, just found out that the bit of Paris I'm staying in - Rue Rivoli around St Paul - used to be called l'Arsenal. That's the name of the port nearby at Bastille and there was a metro there until they closed it at the start of WW2.
So while most call the area Marais, old timers and visiting Gooners still say Arsenal.
