Too old.

How can one build affection for a player who's already 27?

Cesc. Now there was a chap you could believe in.

Has anyone called him the new Vieira yet? After all, that is the traditional fate of any black man over six feet who enters our midfield.

Nikos called him the new Gilberto on Twitter earlier. It surprised me slightly but I guess he's just forgotten about Vieira #oldage

I've just remembered the time Nic lost his mind because someone had dug out a post of him saying Sanchez was rubbish (before he joined Arsenal). It broke him completely. He started claiming someone had faked it and everything. :hehe:

I've been waiting for Pepe to cause me similar embarrassment.

Alas... :-(

You didn’t like his goal on Sunday, Monty?

Naby Keita - in case you had forgotten.

Precisely. Wild, unpredictable fellows, those.

It's all that sunshine, I suppose.

Be my guest. After all, yours was a predictable disappointment.
