Not as bad as the 14th - lost to Spurs in the semi, lost to Utd in the replay of the semi; lost to Boro 3-0 when they had one shot on target. Terrible date

Ooh I was watching Bill Bailey doing a show in a tiny theatre in Soho, trying out new material for his next tour, when the Boston Marathon thing happened. Had a lovely supper at The Ivy afterwards, I recall. Good times.

And the day of that Boro game I was in a Relais et Chateaux outside Carcassonne. I remember a truly amazing pyramid-shaped chocolate dessert, and that everyone else was smothered in diamonds and furs while I sported an oil-stained flying suit.

I always think of the Titanic as the 14th but of course that was the collision not the actual sinking. Good work I.

I was actually in the North Bank the day of Hillsborough as well. Late, late Marwood goal kept us on course for the title

Good man, i. We enjoyed ourselves a few times against them. The one when we put 7 (seven) past them was fun as well

I was there, sobbing "one more year". Oh, Dennis, why did it have to end?

That game is a splendid remedy for anyone who ever tells you Lehmann was a good goalkeeper. Beaten twice on the near post and some sort of monumental fúckarsery for their third.

Meh. Shít penalty. Interestingly, I watched that game in hospital the in hospital full of lovely pethedine after I'd had my bóllock off.

To be honest, though, I will never forgive Lehmann for allowing Tottenham to draw that game at the Lane in 2004 by giving away the world stupidest pelanty.

Robbie Keane though.

That and their fans celebrated a draw like they'd just been crowned champions. Then it dawned on them... :hehe:

Yeah, but I wanted them humiliated that day. I wanted their noses rubbed in our superiority. To be fair, it wasn't just Lehmann's fault (although he was the most grotesque offender). We were ripping them apart at 0-2 and then we just eased off and let them back in. Grrrrr!
