Survation being the only pollsters who predicted 2017's hung parliament.

Of course, as with being 2-0 up at home to Spurs with 5 minutes to go, there's still every reason to be absolutely sh*tting ourselves.

The individual polls are all over the place, but the underlying trends say solid Tory majority.

I'm not going to tempt fate by calling it, however. That would be like 'Olé-ing' in the 2-0 up scenario you outline.

I may have mentioned this a couple of weeks ago but the fact remains:

A third of the leectorate is prepared to vote for a terrorist-supporting, UK-hating, economically-lunatic rabid anti-semite.

One third of the elctorate!

Even if, God willing, the lesser of two evils wins a majority, we, as a nation, are royally fúcked.

Did you see this? In equal parts funny and depressing. I especially like the chap who, when confronted with Corbyn's anti-semitism, then doubles down by saying how much power the Jews have. :hehe:

Brilliant work, that. "I don't know much about it but they've got loads of money, the jews..." :hehe:

I don't know why I'm laughing. It's disgusting and disturbing.

I'm not really shocked by it, as I don't think anti-semitism ever went away - not really. It just became impossible to vocalise publicly in a post-Holocaust world. Corbyn and Labour's real crime has been to give it a high-profile, mainstream platform in which people feel comfortable saying things like that.

This election has shown Boris is less unpopular than Crobyn, the fact Borris is less popular than May was before the 2017 election says a lot about how bad it is for Labour to have Corbyn in charge.

Never great when you are voting for which leader is not quite as a maniac as the other leader. We are in for a **** 5 years

I hate to break it to you, p, but every election is won by the least unpopular candidate. Nobody in their right mind loves politicians.

It amuses me no end that these intellectuals waving the red flag will be the ones that Corbyn has in his crosshairs. One wonders how they’ll react when Corbyn and the unions grind the country to a halt. Re- Nationalisation roll outs with twenty blokes stood around a hole while one digs will once again be a common sight on our streets.

Whilst he does nothing for me because there is absolutely nothing 'Conservative' about him, I have a feeling he will end up an extremely popular PM. When he gets out and about people find him charming.

To be fair, in Johnson's case I think that reflects the way in which Brexit has utterly polarised views. Anyone anti-Brexit will disapprove of Johnson and anyone pro will approve him. That skews this type of polling and leaves zero room for nuance.

In Corbyn's case, he's just a disaster. On that we agree.

I think he has some solid Conservative instincts (look at his old Spectator articles), but he's been forced to publically move to the left on some social issues because of the prevailing culture, and taxation/spending because of the austerity narrative that has cut through.

It's also why the Tories have always maintained their distance from Farage. The calculation is that reverting to old-school social conservatism on issues like immigration, family values, etc would lose them more votes than it would gain.

Let's face it, if it was't for Brexit the Tories would be totally ****ed at this election. There's absolutely no way they would be threatening to break the red wall after "a decade of austerity"

Looked at objectively, the truly fascinating thing about this campaign has been the LibDem's total and utter implosion. They actually facilitated this election because they saw it as their best chance since 2010 to become relevant again. Instead, their vote has collapsed, Swinson has proved about as popular as cold vomit and was last heard on Today wittering madness about there being no such thing as biological sex. :hehe:

Weren't his Spectator articles pandering to his audience, though? Look at his time as mayor. All the cycling/green nonsense. He's about as Conservative as those pseudo-socialists Cameron and Osborne, who got us into this God-awful mess with their refusal to rein in public spending.

His green bóllocks is extremely alarming, I agree. Not helped by the fact that his totty is a mad tree-hugger, of course.

And I swear to God, if I have to hear another supposed Tory using the emetic phrase 'Our NHS' one more fúcking time... :shout:

I think bóllocks can be singular when it's describing nonsense. As in 'Your argument is bóllocks'.

As to the exact shade of the Prime Minister's scrotum, I would hazard a guess that it's a sort of well-scrubbed pink.

Hmm, that's odd, because my jewish friends - descendants of East End tailors made good, that sort of thing, find Corbyn's clear and obvious rabid anti-semitism terrifying. As do, apparently, some 86% of their fellows.

And that's the mischief of it I believe. The scale and degree is distorted. You don't have to look very far to find a counter narrative by younger, usually left leaning, jewish thinkers who have a far more balanced take. The fella I mentioned previously is old enough to have heard oral histories of Kristall-nacht and the ensuing horror so he raises his eyes when the Tory right try to align Corbyn's Labour party with the Nazis.

The fact that there are people so blindly committed to their vile ideology as to sell their fellow Jews down the river in its pursuit doesn't alter the fact of rampant anti-semitism in the Labour Party.

The EHRC doesn't just start investigations for fun, you know? And neither does the Simon Wiesenthal Centre lightly identify Labour as one of the most significant threats to Jews worldwide. Neither do half the Jews in the country say lightly that they'll leave if Corbyn gets in.
The examples quoted in The Sunday Times are both extremely numerous and utterly shocking both in their content and in the casual way they've been handled by the Labour Party.

So, frankly, your commie 'As-a-Jew' mate can fúck off.
