One of the fun parts of being a Tory Party Member is that one regularly opens one's emails to discover you have an email from Boris.

I mean he's usually asking for money or suggesting you deliver leaflets or something, but even so.

My MP sends me handwritten Xmas cards. But that's because she's both a lady and a lefty. She's a proper Hackneyite - she went to boarding school on the south coast before Oxford. She'd make a much better shadow home sec than the other Hackney MP. But she hates Jez so it won't happen. She also voted against enacting Art 50 despite the Lab whip telling her she had to. All in all, a thoroughly good egg.
