Sacking your best manager in 40+ years seems pretty remarkable.

Mind you, we sacked our greatest ever manager last year, so who are we to talk?

Our greatest manager died in 1934, while his team were on the way to the second of three league championship titles in a row (which another of the teams he managed had already achieved).

Very surprised. Until General Levy starts spending some proper coin that's easily the best they'll ever do. Over achieved imo tbh

Was going to laugh but then I read this bit...

“Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and the beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.”

Sadly that rules Dick out as a replacement then :-(

Clearly ego got better of Levy and he wanted to sack him before he left...i would imagine the players Poch demanded in Jan made Old Daniel gulp in shock .

Lol. Let it go.

Two leagues and one cup vs. Three leagues and 7 FA Cups
George Allison has as good a claim as Chapman - if not better.
What Chapman won elsewhere means fùck all - same as Wenger’s trophies at Monaco.

George Allison wasn't even the best George imo

Thought you would have agreed with the move, sack a manager who has never won anything and get a manager in who has won the CL, PL etc
