No - it's a tear in your eye for what we lost, not mine ...

Possibly why it came up on my Twitter feed - hadn't read it before though. And I think Wilson is one of the good guys. So much ****ing garbage in the Times today - five stories on this Sterling/Gomez bull****. Two days after a complete non-event. Needless to say Winter is at the heart of it all pontificating

He was always clearly too intelligent for football, imagine if he'd have taken another path in life?

Would have cured cancer, solved world hunger, created world peace and also halted climate change years ago*

*Ok the last one is fiction but you get my drift...

The Times has Henry Winter, Ash. Everywon nose how he (quite rightly) feels about Henry Winter.

Plus, given his history I assumed he was slightly bitter about the Times. :-)

I love the Times - had 14 good years and when I quit they gave me a shed load of money :) no bitterness at all. I do hate Winter of course. The cricket and rugby coverage is brilliant, though - by far the best of any paper. I've never liked the Telegraph - always been a fusty organ so to speak and has never moved with the times or the Times. Also don't trust their owners - say what you like about Rupert, but you could never accuse him of being a recluse
