I believe that securing a deal itself satisfies the requirements of the Benn Act, yes.

So that's assessing the relative sh*tness of our multi-million pound signings and Brexit that I'm responsible for.

Anything else?

of a successful young jewish author. When the subject of anti-semitism comes up amongst my fellow Islington apparatchiks I casually say "well a young jewsih author I frequently converse with .." blah blah blah.

They invariably say "Oh really? Anyone I might have read?" I have to be somewhat vague here an avoid telling them you've had one article published in The Inde and a picture book and I tell them you're a cult figure of the Highgate literary underground.

Given I'm 40 next year, I'm mainly enjoying the fact that you still consider me "young". Although I suspect that it's merely easier to imagine sexually violating me that way.

Where is Berni nowadays? Is he too busy campaigning for Brexit support on the doorsteps of Hertfordshire?

I was thinking the other day, wasn't it a couple of years back that Chris+ warned it would have to close if more people don't use the board? If anything it's got even quiter since then, but it's still hobbling on

That's exactly the age I was when you used to mock me for being old. :-(

Now I am old and you're still mocking me for it, you naughty young whippersnapper.

Monty has driven him away in much the same way he [Berni] drove Jorge away. Not with a vitriolic diatribe though but by demonstrating a superior grasp of the political zeitgeist. Berni simply couldn't bear to be intellectually bested by an upstart (or the poor sod has been required by his employers to actually do some work for his eye watering salary).

It is surprising how long something online can continue after its owners have relinquished it. Not much usage means it isn't filling up disk space as it used to so wherever the site is hosted just doesn't notice it.

One day soon it will go down as it has in the past but never return. I have to confess, I will miss it :-(

Chris+ still has a soft spot for it. If it was costing him too much to keep up then we could get together and pay the costs. It would be like one of those heartwarming stories abotu villagers clubbing together to buy the local pub. But more virtual.

I'd imagine we'll all just reconvene on the dark web, away from prying eyes, where you can finally speak with candour about how you feel about Jews.

I still believe it was the new format wot killed it - numbers dropped dramatically and only the core persevered - I recall we nearly lost Berni. Chris must be about a 120 by now!

The old format was doing a pretty decent job of killing it. It kept breaking all the time.

I did once set up TOR and take a peek in that place. Left pretty sharpish and never returned. There was a bit of drugs, a bit of guns but mostly a great deal of "click here for the kiddy porn". Not a club I cared to be seen in.

I'm no expert, but isn't the poiunt exactly that you're not seen?

I really fancy some drugs, now you mention the matter. I've had no drugs for 4 years :-(

It wasn't the format that broke it, it was the ****eness of the implementation. I thought you worked in IT a? This is the second time you've disappointed me in a week the first being your failure to recognise Breaking Bad as possibly the greatest television ever created.

You can be "seen" entering so to speak and I have heard anecdotal evidence of it being breached by government agencies. That doesn't include British plod by the way who are as tech autistic as you even.

If your ISP told me you frequently exhibited activities suggesting Dark Web visits I'd have you down a s nonce.

I was quite gripped by BB at first, tbh, but after a while it kept recycling the same old tropes and became a chore. It was like butter that was spread over too much bread.

The old site used to run fine in the earlier days. I assumed it was customised around platforms that themselves had moved on and the old tricks no longer worked, as we often fine with older software. A bit like Dear Old Arsene Himself, really. :hehe:

Aye true. I believe the yanks are the undisputed masters of film and television ( most of our output is an embarrassment by comparison). But the one thing they simply cannot do is stop any endeavour that is succeeding. They just can't quit while they're ahead and will push on for series twenty one if the money still comes in. I've heard it said that that something like BB eventually employs the equivalent of a small town - that's a lot of people relying on the next series for a living.

Anyway, it doesn't detract from the coruscating brilliance of the first three series.
