Yep, just like I was being provocative when I said Pepe would be total horsesh*t

I'd like to think you're being facetious in your criticism of Pepe, Monty old bean. I mean, you'd have to be a complete and utter cretin to write off a player who had 22 goal and 11 assists in Ligue 1, who was the best player on the pitch first half at Anfield and who has only been at the Arsenal for 7 league games, would you not?

Also, I would remind you of those two words again - Naby Keita :hehe:

His Liverpool performance must be ignored. He's new to the league so there is the factor of the unknown that scared them.
Next time he'll be in their pocket.

That being said i hope he will be good

Part of me thinks his pace has actually pigeon holed him as a player that should always be played out wide, but actually i think he has the Ozil-like passing range and composure to make him highly effective centrally.

Another thing that counts against him is that in a 4-3-3 he doesn’t get to benefit much from an overlapping wing back which would give him far more passing options and space to cut inside.

Aside from the standard, new player excuses, it can’t help the lad to look around him and see all of these hugely talented kids bursting onto the scene, knowing he has to justify to the fans the clubs decision to mortgage the stadium on him..

I presume he's under guarantee and we can just take him back if he doesn't work, right?

It’s early days but the decision to buy him does appear a bit strange, given the talent upfront. I mean, these kids showed significant promise last year. The depth was sufficient to send Nketiah out on loan.
