What was significant about that match was that it effectively marked the end of Malcolm MacDonald's career. He had already suffered knee problems, but the injury he sustained in the Rotherham match was so serious he only played one more match for us nine months later, at Stamford Bridge two days after we famously beat Man United in that Cup Final (he signed off with a goal, of course)
